Daisy is a beautiful girl that was an owner turn in and we cant figure why. She is a big loving black labbie girl, a beautiful pure bred lab, well behaved, rides great in your car and is completely housebroken. The County shelter said she is 3-4 years old but I think closer to 5 might be her age. She is full of life and energy but knows her manners and minds well. Daisy needs a yard to play in and a family to play with. She is a big girl, almost 80 pounds, but is gentle and very well behaved. She seems to get along well with bigger dogs but wants to bark at the littler dogs thru the gate and we havent tested her with them yet. We pulled her from a high kill shelter and she went to a family with two kids in a nice house with a big yard. She slept inside at night on her very own fluffy bed and finally settled in, loving her new family and feeling wanted and loved back. Daisy had no idea about what the 7 letter word was that would shatter her world again and take away her new found home. She is in a bad spot with no one to love and take care of her for the second time now. Daisy's new Mom and Dad are getting a divorce, selling their house and each moving to their own apartment. The kids are gone and she was left alone by herself in a quiet backyard, no more laughter, no more running and no more playing.. Daisy doesnt understand why she is all alone again, or where the little boy and girl that used to play with her went...why they never come to her anymore. We need to find Daisy a foster home or forever home ASAP or she will have to go back to the cold cement floor of a boarding facility....waiting...waiting for a home that may never come. Daisy is a wonderful dog and would make someone very happy. You will have a hard time finding a better behaved dog and she will be your best friend. If you can help Daisy please call or email Pat Bonham working4rdogs@yahoo.com 760-265-9595. SHe has all her shots, is vetted, microchipped and spayed. We would appreciate a small tax deductable donation to help pay for her spaying etc and the money will go to help pull another dog from a kill shelter.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
