Georgia's grown a bit since we took that picture. She's blossomed into a sweet, petite, shy little tabby girl who loves other cats. Give her a little time to adjust to new surroundings (just a week or two) and she'll be head over heels in love with you and your family. Ask her foster mom about her balancing trick.
Oh, she had a few words to say: How can you possibly resist my cuteness? Just look at me! That little nose, the slightly wall-eyed gaze, they way I turn my head like I'm terribly interested in everything you say, when really I'm just wondering where the catnip is hidden. Imagine how I look running across the bare wood floor, sliding right past the mousy toy and into the pile of shoes by the door! Picture how adorable I am, curled in a ball, twitching as I dream of birds and bugs and other flying things. Now open your eyes, go over to advoCATs-inc.org and get that application!!!

AdvoCATs is a small group of volunteers dedicated to finding loving, happy, healthy, permanent homes for cats and kittens in the National Capital Area. We are also dedicated to educating pet parents about feline health and welfare.
In addition to our main facility in Madison, Virginia, we hold adoption fairs at Petco stores in Northern Virginia. A schedule of events is available on our website at www.advocats-inc.org.
Our Adoption Process...
Prospective pet parents must fill out an application (available from our website or from a volunteer at our adoption fair) and participate in a brief interview. We will ask to see rental or condo agreements, as well as vet records for any pets currently living in the home. We ask that all members in the family participate in the adoption process, including responsible older children. We reserve the right to perform a home study if necessary. We will also ask for references in the application.
If the adoption is approved, there is a contract to be reviewed and signed. There is an adoption fee of $150 to cover spaying or neutering, all testing and vaccinations, microchipping, and all care up to the point of adoption. New pet parents receive all medical records and a pet parent information packet. Follow-up is done within three weeks of adoption.
We do not adopt kittens younger than 12 weeks. All cats are spayed or neutered before they are released for adoption. Also, kittens younger than 10 months must be adopted in pairs or to a home that already has a cat.
