BIO:Hello I'm Jasper. I am a happy go lucky guy. I like to march to the beat of my own drum! Some of my favorite things to do are explore, be pet, and eat and sleep in no particular order. I like to do special tricks for treats, and keep everyone surprised when I do those tricks! I can't hear but occasionally I can hear a clap here and there. I do not like crates though. I am friendly with other dogs. I make funny little sounds when I get picked up, which always makes everyone laugh. I can't wait for my forever home! 

Jasper was rescued from another rescue that needed more room. He is such a sweet loveable and funny dog. He gets along with most everyone, and every dog.  

Jasper gets along with all other dogs but he doesn’t take much interest in them.  He is very content to just lie in your lap, be cuddled, and fall asleep in the sun or in his favorite chair with his favorite blanket. Jasper does not like cats. He is not your playing on the floor, ball catching, and Frisbee kind of dog.  He likes to relax.  Jasper loves to sleep on the big bed with his fosters sisters. They all have their own “spots” Jasper likes to sleep on the pillow next to his foster Mom. At bedtime he is so content we just pat him a few times and he is out like a light.

When you go to pet Jasper, he doesn't like surprises so letting him know you are there is the best for him. He shares well with others, and is one of the most seriously a riot to watch. He will keep you entertained for sure. He would do great in a home with older kids, since he does need some warning before picking him up since he is deaf. He is a great dog that would be a wonderful addition to your family.  Jasper doesn’t bark much as he doesn’t hear the things that make other dogs bark.  He barks when you are in the kitchen as he always thinks he is going to be fed and he will bark in the house if he cannot get to you I.e.; if there is a baby gate or something in his way.  Jasper walks great on a leash, he sort of prances like a horse when out for a walk.  He LOVES to take a bath. He acts like a puppy afterwards jumping around like he’s saying, “I feel clean!” Being deaf doesn’t cause any problems or seem to be an issue to him.  To get his attention you just put your hand in front of him and he comes to you and follows you around. Ideally Jasper just wants a home where he can hang out.

Jasper is UTD on all shots, heartworm tested, negative, had his teeth cleaned and neutered.

Jasper says, Please take me home and I will love you FUREVER! 

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
