We are the Wooster Bluuueeeesssss!! I'm Chippie! And I'm Billie!! We are Blues singers! We were dumped off around the shelter & scared to death!! We found yummy food, sneaked in to eat it, heard a loud noise, turned around to get outa Dodge & WHAM! Trapped! Thank goodness, we were together. Then, those 2 legged creatures came & took us someplace that was REAL noisy. We heard Paula say things like "no hope...too scared...crowded shelter". She came back the next day & took us to a place with a really nice lady to stay for a couple of days. We took a long ride to another place that has black & white dogs kinda like us. We are settling in & you know what? This aint too bad! These 2 legged creatures aren't so fearful afterall. We like to get petted & those ear massages are like heaven! We are even learning that walking on a leash is fun. We need a quiet home with someone who will help us build confidence & learn how to be good girls.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
Our adoption process helps a homeless Border Collie find a forever home while enriching your life with a special new family member! We would love to answer questions about a particular Border Collie, but we need to know some information also! Our process includes:
1. Filling out our application. Please go to this link:
3. Discussing potential dogs and setting up an adoption visit.
4. Adopting a great Border Collie that is suited for your environment and needs!
Please be patient! This process does take some time!
Our Border Collies listed on our website are just a representative sample of the dogs BBCR has in its program at this time. Some may still be in the evaluation process and not posted yet. If you are interested in adopting a Border Collie from BBCR and don't see the dog that interests you, please fill out an application.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative. There is no facility that is open with set hours. Our Border Collies are fostered in our homes where they are evaluated for general health and temperament. Our fee is usually $220 - $250 (may be higher in certain cases).

Wooster Blues!!!
...
Buckeye Border Collie Rescue, Inc. is committed to helping Border Collies find appropriate, loving and responsible forever homes. We are an all-volunteer group! Please do some research on the breed. Border Collies are not for everyone! There is a wealth of information about the breed on rescue sites. They must have a job to do to challenge their minds and release that energy. They need more than "room to run". Border Collies don't take coffee breaks or go on vacation.
We do not have hours of operation. The BCs are fostered in our homes. Please read the adoption process. Once the application process is complete, an appointment is then made to meet our BCs. This allows us to be sure our BC is the appropriate BC for your forever home! When supplying a phone#, please provide a phone# that can be reached in the evening or on weekends. We are not able to return phone calls during the day.
Our Adoption Process...
Most of the Border Collies come from shelters in Ohio and Kentucky. At any time, there may be the Border Collie just for you and it may not be on the site yet. Please read "OUR ADOPTION PROCESS" and submit your application for consideration. We will not ship Border Collies. OUR ADOPTION PROCESS---PLEASE READ Adopting a dog from us is a PROCESS that takes time. Please begin the process before inquiring about a particular dog. 1. You MUST FIRST fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION. You can get to our website at www.buckeyebcrescue.org 2. A HOME VISIT is then scheduled. 3. There is an adoption contract and a donation required to help cover the cost of rescue. 4. If you have completed the application, it is best to email lassie9@bright.net to communicate rather than call on the telephone. We are volunteers with full-time jobs and normal responsibilities just like you have. In addition, we have the rescue fosters to tend to, vet visits to make and transports necessary to get BCs from shelters and into foster homes. Please be patient as this process may take several days or a week.
