Hi, I'm Bowie, and I am really great dog. I sit and stay on command, you can even throw a treat or toy and I will wait until you tell me to go get it. I am very sweet and loyal and like to be in the same room with you. I am calm and low key in the house, I just like to hang out. I need to go to a home where someone is active and likes walking - I am great on leash and make the perfect jogging buddy. My foster mom takes me jogging and I jog right next her like a perfect gentleman. And speaking of, I take treats from your hand just as gently as you please, even bacon. My foster mom thinks it's funny that I am so careful, she calls it 'prissy',  but she appreciates it to. I like everyone I meet, even small kids. I like other dogs, big and small, but I am uncomfortable around unneutered males because I think they might attack me. Did I mention I'm sweet? Well, I am. If you put your face too close to mine, I will kiss it, and I will kiss it good! If you sit on the floor, I will come sit next to you. Maybe I'll even lean against you or put my head in your lap. I am a strong boy, but I am learning to not pull on my leash on walks and am doing very, very well if I do say so myself. My foster mom is only average size and doesn't need a prong collar to walk me, she just gently pulls my leash if I am pulling her and I slow down immediately. I am a very well behaved dog, but it is important that I get my walks every day or I get restless. I would be a wonderful hiking companion. I ride well in the car, I'm potty trained, and really just a wonderful all around guy. I have some scars on my body (probably from a not so nice owner I had in the past), but not on my heart - I am very trusting of people and my nature has not been affected - I'm a lover not a biter. While I'm a sweetheart, I'm also very smart - I know what's allowed (I can get on one of the couches where I live), and what's not (I don't try to get on any of the other furniture or beds). I love to be pet and will nudge your hand to let you know that I'm ready for an ear rub. If you meet me, you will like me a lot, and maybe take me home and we can have beautiful walks together. And don't forget the treats.
