About Our Shelter...

We are a no-kill facility established in 1969 to provide temporary shelter for unwanted and abused animals. we match lovable animals with loving forever homes , educating the publix on humane responsible care of all animals, and help in reducing the overpopulation with our low-cost spay and neuter program. We also have a volunteer program that we hope to add new volunteers to thru out the year...

Come Meet Our Pets...

The shelter is open from 1-5 mon-fri and from 12-3 on sats. we do adoptions of pets up to 1/2 hour before we close. we have off -site adoption events at the pittsburgh Mills petsmart and also showcase cats for sale at that petsmart...We also have numerous off site fundraising events thru out the year...

Our Adoption Process...

Once you come and meet a pet for adoption you will read and fill out one of our pre-adoption forms. This application is then reviewed. This takes usually 1/2 business days to hear back about applications. once approved the pet is gotten ready for adoption and adopted.....If you have a landlord we must have their phone number and name. Adopters must be over 21. WE also ask if you have other dogs that they meet with the new incoming pet and that you have a vet reference. If no other pets owned then two personal references please....WE do not have one set fee. adoption fees start at 100.00 for dogs and cats are 85.00.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...

We serve mainly Armstrong County but if room/or emergency case we try and help animals from other couties also.
