Lee-Na is a lovely, sweet, gentle pure breed shar pei. We rescued her on her last day at a kill pound along with her Brother. Unfortunately, he died after the pound neutered him. Many 'farmed' out vets do not take enough care with certain breeds . Lucky for her they forgot to spay her and she stayed alive. It was a good thing because she did have an upper respitory infection (which is probably why her brother died under anesthsia).... She is getting spayed and will have her eye (entropian) taken care of at the same time. Lee-na has energy now and is playful. She is looking better and better even with her fly-stripes on her ears (which will also get better). She was used for breeding by an uncaring back yard breeder who dumped her and her brother in a kill pound. Please consider this darling shar pei. She LOVES people and LOVES dogs. she is so gentle and motherly, she could be fine with cats. Contact Joan at adoptachowla@gmail.com and 310306 2871

We are a very small group of people dedicated to helping, saving, re-homing, educating, advising people about chows and ALL breeds. We are a 501c3 non profit of all volunteers. We network/cross-post to help save animals. We have adoptions and invite people into our 'outreach' program so they can 'show' their dogs. We need volunteers, we need funds to help get the dogs out of shelters and to get vet care. We help dogs of all ages and have saved over 200 chows and mixes as well as other breeds. We need FOSTERS to help the many dogs that needs somewhere safe to go until they find a fabulous, loving home. We advocate spay and neuter and also giving every dog a chance no matter how old, or infirmed or grouchy. They all change with good care and love and proper direction.
