| Cody is a male bichon, who was born in 1997, weighs 12 pounds. He can be adopted for the Senior Dog Rate of $75.00 Cody is a very special sweet loving little guy. He was rescued from a shelter after being attacked by his previous owner's big dogs. It was discovered that Cody’s jaw was broken in several places. Cody had surgery to repair the jaw and now has a steel plate in his jaw. Cody has no trouble eating soft food and after his jaw is healed completely he will be able to gum down dry food also. Through all of this, Cody has been a wonderful little guy. Since he has been in our foster home, he has been one of the most agreeable and loving dogs we have ever fostered. Cody knows many different commands such as dance (he spins in a circle) wave, speak, sit, and shake hands. We are learning daily the different things he knows. Cody loves to go for walks, loves to ride in the car and everyone he meets is a friend, dog and human. We don't know about cats. Children in the home should be aged 8 and over. Cody cuddles in our laps and crawls under the covers in bed at night with us. Cody is a small Bichon and stands 10 inches at the shoulder. He is house trained but does mark occasionally in the house. Cody is improving on that issue and is doing very well. Cody’s surgeon said his heart is good and his blood work is good. Since he has been in our foster home, Cody has had three very mild seizures. Two lasted just seconds and the other about half a minute. He does not require meds for the seizures at this point. This is something he has probably had his whole life, but because of not knowing his pre rescue vet, we cannot know for sure. Cody has much love yet to give. We think he could probably adapt to any living situation and be one happy little guy.
