Meet Tootsie….Tootsie was adopted out but then returned to us after only 7 months. It seems she snapped at her adopters. We were not told the entire story so we are not sure what really happened but when she was returned she was very fearful and would snap at us. After a short 3 month period she is back to her loving self. She is very loving now towards her foster parents and all her foster brothers & sisters. Tootsie loves to sleep in the big bed with her humans. She would also be great friend to another doxie that needs the companionship as she loves to play. We have learned that she doesn’t care for crates. This could stem from being crated too much. She will go into a crate for us to eat her dinner and she will “kennel up” for a short period of time while we run errands but she gets very anxious if she is left in the crate for too long. All this being said we think Tootsie would excel in a dachshund savvy home, with no small children, and someone that is home most of the day or that can come home to let her out frequently. If you think you would make the perfect home for Tootsie please fill out an adoption application. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
