Love big dogs, but want or need a smaller dog? Well, I look just like a Labrador, yet I weigh a mere 40 some lbs - fully grown - and also am a more mellow yet young and playful two years old. I play well with other dog and kids like me. I warm up slower to new people that are adults. I would be a good backyard family dog and would also benefit from some social field trips. A.R.T.A. -- Animal Rescue, Transport, and Adoption -- is a small, rural foster home based rescue that cares for and places kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs into new homes -- usually, in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. Most of our adoptable animals have been relinquished by previous owners who could not care for them due to unforeseen circumstances or life changes. The adoptable animals may be visited by appointment or be seen in Tucson area. for weekend adoption events.
A.R.T.A. adopts mostly to homes in Tucson and Phoenix areas. Other locations may be considered.

Please, email about your ideal cat or dog you'd like to adopt and a little about home you are offering. Adoption fee is usually just the cost that vet charges for spay, neuter, and shots.
