| Licorice is a very handsome neutered 3 year old black and white tuxedo cat. He was brought in to us because he is FIV positive and the shelter was going to euthanize him. FIV is a viral infection in cats similar to HIV in humans. Most people, after doing some research and speaking with their vet come to realize something. They realize FIV isn’t as big a deal as they had feared. FIV cats, they learned, can still live long and healthy lives. Anybody who doubts that point can swing by Best Friends and meet plenty of healthy, happy senior FIV cats who could probably still give you a run for your money! One other detail , FIV cats have a hard time finding homes so here is your chance to help give these wonderful kitties a forever home Avoid the misconceptions and learn more about FIV :http://www.bestfriends.org/theanimals/petcare/cats_fiv.cfm Please give him a chance, the staff here just loves him, he a sweet mellow boy who loves to play and just hang out. He does like to rough house at times. Licorice is not very fond of other cats or dogs, so he would need to be the only cat in the household.
