Bud's story...
Bud is a 3 yr. old Beagle who was dumped in a local pound when his family decided they no longer wanted the responsibility of owning a dog. He was frightened to death there & it was obvious he needed to get into a foster situation. We took Bud into our care & he has settled in. However, he’s stubborn & headstrong. Bud will need an experienced guardian since he does challenge authority. Bud isn’t a good choice for a novice owner. As long as you’re patient & keep him in check with a firm hand, he’ll do just fine. He’s a little chowhound so you’ll need to watch his food intake to keep him from packing on the pounds. While he is okay with the other dogs in his foster home, but I think it would be best to have him as an only pet. He can be bossy & doesn't like to share his food or human with the others. He follows me even to the bathroom & he doesn't like to stay outside unless I’m out there with him. He’ll need a quiet house, only 1 or 2 people. We prefer an adult only home for this guy. Beagles are known for attaching to only a select few people to the exclusion of everyone else. He’s not that loud unless he’s in a crate & then he voices his displeasure. He does have some good qualities as well. He loves cuddling on the couch with me & would be content to spend the entire evening snuggled up against my leg.

About Our Rescue Group...
All Star Pet Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit, no-kill organization formed in April 2006. We don’t have a facility & are comprised solely of foster homes for homeless pets. Our mission is to network with other shelters & rescue groups to take in animals needing a new start. We don’t discriminate based on breed, age or health status & only place the animals in loving & responsible homes. We also work to educate the public about the benefit of spaying or neutering their animals & the usefulness of micro-chipping.

We receive no public funding & count on animal lovers to help provide the medical care & supplies necessary for the health, safety & comfort of our rescues. Monetary donations are always needed & greatly appreciated. It’s because of monies donated that we’re able to continue our work for the animals. We’re a recognized 501c3 organization so your donations are tax deductible.

Come Meet Our Pets...
All of our animals are in foster homes, but they can be seen on certain days at Pet Valu in the Kings Shopping Center at 300 South Ave. in Garwood. Check our websites for the dates that we're there at www.allstar.petfinder.com.
Our Adoption Process...
We do have an adoption fee which goes right back to the animals for food, medical treatment, etc. Yo do have to sign a contract. We also do have certain requirements when placing our animals, some are general & some can be based on the situation.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We mostly serve the areas around us, but have served out of the area.
