Meet our unknown tuxedo cat. This black in white cat was found stray in , IowaGreene County and has an APE microchip. He was held at animal control (PAWS) and was not claimed. APE has assisted shelters in over eight counties in Central Iowa We believe his ca was a Trap-Neuter-Release cat as it has an ear notch on his right ear typical of TNR cats. for over five years. Unfortunately, we had a computer crash and have not been able to find this kitty’s hard copy records yet. As there is over 6000 to look thorough. Once we are able to locate this cat’s paperwork, the owner will be notified. If not claimed, we will be putting the cat up for adoption. The adoption fee set for this cat will be $65.

Please remember that every animal available for adoption through an A.P.E.-affiliated organization is fully-vetted for its age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested; all cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FELUK/FIV). All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every dog and cat is vaccinated (age appropriate), microchipped, and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.
We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to lining up an appointment to visit the animal(s) at the animal's home.
