Hi my name is Jilly. I’m kinda shy but still playful. I love to be held and cuddled and am doing well on my housebreaking. I’m not much on treats or toys and only eat my special “Doxie” kibble. I’m no “chow hound” and enjoy eating slowly and without my foster brothers bothering me. I love to play with one of my brothers and enjoy long afternoon naps in the Big Bed with another brother. I had back surgery a couple of years ago to fix a disc but I get around fine now. I use my doggie steps to get on the sofa and bed but mom watches me closely when I use the big stairs. I would do best in a home without children as I prefer my peace and quiet. I‘m fine with other dogs-even bigger ones. Please think of me when you add to your “family”. Update: July 23, 2009 - Miss Jillian (Jilly) attended the Reliant Dog Show last weekend and was quite the hit. One of our volunteers made Doxie themed flower pots and Jilly decided to model them! We also had a follow up check up on her for a cold she's had and it’s clearing up. Also because she’s very thin we had a comprehensive blood panel done on her and everything looks good-she’s just very thin. We are starting a new food and the addition of protein powder - she loves it and maintains a very healthy appetite. Our goal is for her to gain a pound! She also smiled the other day-what a cutie! |
