Wallace's Meet Your Match Feline-alityTM is LEADER OF THE BAND (Green) I'm a cat who does everything in a big way. I not only like to be in the middle of things - I like to lead the parade. I'm an adventurous cat, but I'll still make plenty of time to show you my affectionate side. I'm the demonstrative type, you might say. Want a cat who's brimming with confidence? That's me! Interesting Stuff About Wallace: The world just wouldn’t be right if Wallace didn’t have Gromit! As you may know, Wallace and Gromit are icons of British culture. Each travesty finds them supporting and helping each other. Another underlying thread is the dependency they have on each other in various situations and for a variety of needs. Obviously, these fun characters would not have found fame without each other. So, it seems very appropriate that these two cats were named Wallace and Gromit. Wallace and Gromit are two brothers that are very dependent on each other. They seek out each other to go on adventures, such as investigating a new room. They also seek out the comfort of one and other when the world seems a little scary. But more important, they give each other confidence when being introduced to new people. One brother is a tad shy and needs his sibling to help him feel comfortable. Wallace and Gromit are short-haired cats with very soft smokey gray coats. Both have enchanting eyes the color of a light gold. When you first see them the adjective that may pop into your head is WOW! These two guys are absolutely gorgeous. Each is gorgeous on his own; however, together they are absolutely captivating. You see, Wallace and Gromit look like identical twins. Every attribute seems to be the same from their physique to their facial features. About the only difference is their weight. Wallace is about ¾ of a pound heavier than Gromit; however, to the eye it is hardly noticeable. These two would have to be standing side by side and very still in order to see the difference. And, since no cat stands still for any length of time, it is doubtful that you will have this opportunity. However, parents of identical twins always find ways to see the most subtle difference. Wallace and Gromit’s new owner(s) are sure to have fun figuring which is which! Wallace and Gromit thought they had found the perfect home; however, their humans recently had a baby and caring for them and the baby turned out to be a challenge. The difficult decision was made to return them to the shelter where they could thrive in a more stable environment. They mentioned that both cats are quiet, ok with kids, ok with dogs, affectionate, playful, and like to be petted. Wallace and Gromit once again are ready for finding their forever home. They make one of the most adorable pairs that the shelter has ever had. They may seem a little wary at first but a few gentle pets and soft words quickly brings out their trust. They are sure to bring you a lifetime of joy and love. Wallace and Gromit are waiting to meet you at the Nature's Pet store in Sherwood. Come meet all the wonderful adoptable cats and kittens from Cat Adoption Team! Better with a Buddy! Wallace and Gromit are a bonded pair. They are dependent on each other and would be very unhappy if separated. To help these cats get adopted as a pair, Cat Adoption Team now offers a discount of $50 on the second cat when bonded pairs are adopted together. Only CAT's Operations Manager will determine which cats are bonded pairs and this will be noted on the cats' charts. Bonded pairs apply to adult cats 1 year of age or older that are surrendered to the shelter at the same time from the same owner. The discount does not apply to kittens or to two cats that may be sharing a cage but came in separately. The Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest non-profit, no-kill cat shelter with its own full service on-site veterinary hospital. CAT rescues, rehabilitates and places the community’s abandoned, neglected and injured cats and kittens into loving, lifetime homes. CAT not only partners with the community but with local county shelters, rescue groups and veterinary offices to take in cats that might otherwise be euthanized due to medical problems or space constraints. CAT saves close to 3,000 lives per year and relies heavily on the support of the public and generous volunteers. Thank you for visiting our site and helping us save lives!

The Cat Adoption Team requires all potential adoptive families to meet with a trained adoption counselor before adopting a cat. Families must complete an application and sign a contract, which outlines our organization's adoption guidelines. Individuals who are interested in adopting a cat or kitten are welcome to call our facility to discuss these guidelines before visiting our adoption center.
In order to give our kittens a strong, healthy start in life, and to minimize behavior problems by assuring that they are fully weaned and litter box trained, we do not adopt out any kitten until they are at least 8-10 weeks old.
Cats or kittens that test positive for leukemia or FIV can still live relatively long and healthy lives in an indoor, stress-free environment. They must, however, be adopted to homes that either have no other cats or already have asymptomatic leukemia- or FIV-positive cats. These diseases cannot be passed on to humans; they can, however, be transmitted through blood to healthy cats. Therefore, these cats must be placed in indoor-only home.
