Hershey von Hirsch's story...
Hershey von Hirsch is a very sweet 5 month old German Shepherd/Dutch Shepherd mix. She has gorgeous black and brindle coloring and the most adorable personality. You can actually see the smile in her eyes. She's fun, friendly and just everything a puppy should be. She would love to have a home with either children or another dog to run around and play with. We think she will be around 50 pounds once she is fully grown. Come and meet this little goofball, she will make a wonderful pet.
Hershey was lucky enough to go home for several days to a foster home. We now know more about her:

Hershey is a very curious, playful and energetic female puppy who would benefit from some dedicated training and attention. Hershey is anxious to please and knows how to sit for her food and treats with just a little coaxing from a choke chain/leash. With a little more training, Hershey is learning the down command, is about 50% housebroken and was learning what "go potty" means before you take her out and will go in one area if you guide her there with a leash. Although Hershey seems a little timid to go into the car at first, she does fine with a little reassurance and will do well with more car rides. Hershey also loves to go for walks by your side and was learning to sit before crossing the street with a little correction from a choke chain. Since she is a little on the skinny side, she requires frequent feedings so she can develop into a healthy, beautiful dog. Hershey is loyal, protective, and will easily bond with someone who will give her the time and love she deserves. Hersey also loves water, her foster mom filled up a wadding pool with water and Hershey got right in. She is going to be a striking looking adult dog, she will look like a German shepherd with the Dutch Shepherd brindle coat. She is focused and smart and will do well with someone who enjoys an active and confident dog.
