This special needs girl is indeed very special. She's approximately 4 years old and such a cuddly sweetheart. Mae's very affectionate and she likes to have fun too! She's a laid back girl who also likes to take naps in her chair after play time with her foster buddies. She is house trained and she behaves very well in the house. Mae did have dry eye and it was caused by her previous owners neglect. She no longer requires monthly trips to a specialist as she's now producing tears at a normal rate and she's ready for adoption! She does need optimmune(a gell that needs to be put into her eyes twice a day) for life as it helps her to produce tears. It's pretty low maintenance for such a special girl. Please Note: We are all volunteers and busy taking care of our foster dogs so please take the time to fill out our o-nline adoption application if you are interested in more information about any of the hounds that we have for adoption. Filling out our application does not obligate you to adopt in any way. It does, however, help us to determine if the dog that your interested in would be a good match for your family and lifestyle. All of our dogs are fully vetted. They have been vaccinated, altered, microchipped and heartworm tested and on prevention. ADOPTION FEE: $350.00 LOCATION: Mae is currently in foster care in Simcoe, ON. Transportation to her forever home can be arranged. Don't let distance deter you! If you would like to give this beautiful girl a forever home please fill out our on line adoption application at ADOPTION APPLICATION Bloodhounds require A SECURELY FENCED YARD. Invisible/underground electric fences don't work on these dogs. They get on a scent and are totally oblivious to anything else around them.....including traffic. Bloodhounds don't tie or chain well either. They are fine for apartment living as long as they get enough exercise. All of our dogs are adopted to be 'in-the-house' family members. Bloodhounds are not for everyone, they can't roam free and can't be walked off leash. |
