| This Boxer/Rottweiller mix is nearly three and shows signs of being a rambunctious puppy all his life. This dog is all about toys and playing and wants to be right there helping with anything you are doing and with you wherever you do. He has a strong personality which makes him very smart, easy to train, and a great deal of fun. However, it also means he needs a strong role model and alpha-leader to be successful. Louis is fine with our foster dogs and cat, but can be selective in his choice of playmates and people, so introduction with care is important. He will be your best friend, alarm clock, and constant companion if you let him. Louis knows all the basic commands, walks on a leash and does some fun tricks. I am convinced he talks as many of his barks are only two syllables at different volumes which he uses to tell you “outside” or “hungry”. He will let you know if it’s time for an evening snack, or if you’re late getting to bed. If you have the time and knowledge for a dog like him, he will reward you 110% with loyalty and love. He is by far one of the most demanding, frustrating and pleasurable fosters I have worked with. He may be best in a family where he would be the pet and child. Louis is crate-trained, altered, up to date on all his tests and shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $195.00 which includes microchip Please do not call Vector Control to inquire about adoptions as they are seperate from Pound Buddies.
Foster dogs are already altered, current on vaccines and have been heartworm tested if age appropriate. In order to meet a foster pet, you must have an approved application on file with us. We will then schedule an appointment that is convenient for both you and the Foster Parents.

WE DO NOT ADOPT TO FAMILIES WITH UNALTERED PETS. We do require a vet check and if you do not have a past or present vet that we can speak with on how you cared for your pets, then we do require a home visit.
