Purebred Boxer Female 5 years old Sarah was found on the side of the road when she about 2-3 years old with a badly broken leg. The vet pinned the leg and after a long and hard road she has fully recovered. We were told that the vet thought she was kicked or hit with an object such as a baseball bat. She was originally picked up and cared for by a dog rescue group who had her for about 1 year. She was then given to a family with 2 adults and 2 small children about 1 year ago and she needs to find a new home that is more suitable for her. Sarah is a scared and nervous dog. She jumps from couch to couch. She does not run and hide, she just gets nervous and doesn't know what to do with herself. She likes to lay on the couch and relax and will sit beside you to get loved on. She is not aggressive at all, in fact, she is very shy and timid. She would do best in an adult only home or one without children under 16 as she is strong and when she jumps around is clumsy and will knock a small kid over. She is fine with all other dogs and cats. She needs a quiet home as loud noises startle her. She is housebroken. She walks well on a leash. Her current home has a large fenced in yard for her to play in. She is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative and has been started on monthly heartworm and flea preventative. She needs to go to a patient forever home that has the time to work with her. Her rehoming fee is negotiable. If you are interested in adopting Sarah please complete an online adoption form. Please understand that this dog needs to go to a home with large dog experience and one that can commit to a forever home for this girl. Just because she is a boxer, this dog has special needs and needs the right home.
