Moonbeam's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Black (All) | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | Hair: | Unknown |
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
In the placid, secured yard of Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue, Moonbeam is conspicuous. Visitors are often greeted by a leaf-covered, galloping, silver-collared, black blur that is the spirited little Moonbeam.
Moonbeam enjoys frolicking in the fall foliage and regards it as an ideal camouflage for ambushing unsuspecting grasshoppers. Rolling around in the grass is the closest she comes to sitting still, we think. Does that peppy little ball of fur even sleep at all?
Although Moonbeam does enjoy some human affection when given on her terms, she prefers playing to cuddling. She enjoys chasing feathers and laser toys, as well as playing friendly rounds of chase with both feline and human friends.
Moonbeam is great fun to play with. Her frolicsome nature certainly makes RMFR's backyard one of the more amusing places to visit. If you think this playful cat could add some gaiety to your household come visit the shelter today. You won't be sorry you did!

Shelter Info...
As of March 1st, Animal Rescue and Adoption Society will be doing business as Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue to better reflect our mission and the population that we serve.
The ARAS Mission: ARAS is a no-kill cat shelter dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals, and providing a safe shelter and a second chance for homeless cats and kittens. Through outreach programs and community referrals, ARAS seeks to educate the public by providing current information regarding other rescue organizations and services when ARAS is unable to accommodate the animal in need.
ARAS is committed to helping animals in need of safe environments and people in need of solutions.
Established in 1982, the Animal Rescue and Adoption Society is a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter located in Denver, Colorado. Society staff and volunteers care for approximately 185 homeless and abandoned cats. ARAS receives no government funding and is dependent upon donations from the community and the proceeds from fundraising events.
The shelter is located in an industrial area, less than five miles from Downtown Denver. ARAS originally began in a garage, then relocated to its present location where it has existed for about 14 years.
