Can you give me a forever home? I have had a very tough start, and need a SINGLE DOG HOME, with a fenced yard. I was abandoned and rescued over 7 months ago. When I was rescued I weighed 17 pounds, and was pregnant with 12 puppies. I was very scared, and very sick. I had to have an emergency C-section, 6 of my babies were born alive, 3 babies survived 24 hours, then just as I realized I was a mom, they died too. Since the rescue where I have been staying seems to always have mommies with babies, I sometimes get a little jealous. And since I was so thin, I’ve always been a little protective of my food. So here I am today, healthy and very happy! I need to be your only dog, and I get along good with kids 9 years old and older. I would love to have a family, with a big fenced yard so I can run and play. I’m really not into toys - but I LOVE TO RIDE IN THE CAR! I like to be wherever you are. I have learned many commands, and listen well. I an completely house trained, and will not dig in your trash. I am a very good watch dog, I will let you know if anything is going on. I’ve even learned to sort of talk to you, to tell you what I need or what I want! I love belly rubs, and the sofa, but don’t cuddle me too much - I just like to hang out with you. Walks are great, I can handle a leash well, and not pull. I also need someone who can be firm with me, because I like to take charge. I don’t like yelling or fighting, and if you are crying I will lick your tears & comfort you. Don’t spoil me too much, just love me forever!

Good dogs and accidental breeding often times have a difficult time finding "Forever Homes". I am a dog handler/trainer of 23 years experience. I've spent many hours with several breeds of dogs, getting to know each one's traits. Located in central North Carolina, I live five miles outside of a small town called Denton. I have been training in this beautiful country location for 14 years now. I have dedicated my efforts to the rescue and placement of homeless dogs and puppies, cats and kittens.
It is important to me that every animal I place has found his or her "Forever Home". To ensure that your new friend is reunited with you if he/she becomes lost or stolen, it is vital to do all you can to protect your new friend. In an effort to help you do this, I have joined with 24Pet Watch and the use of Microchip Identification. Every pet I place will have this, and I offer this service for your other pets as well.
I have been "Live Trapping", abandoned and sick animals for over 12 years. I have watched, as a van slows near my driveway - a child jumps out of the side door with a plate of food, an excited dog on his heels. As the dog begins to eat, the van drives off - the dog tries to follow and is hit by another car. Ten minutes earlier, this was "someone's" pet. A happy little dog, riding along in the van. A suprise treat of food is layed before him! "Someone's" pet. A small puppy once, with a mother who nursed the life into him, as he grew big and strong. "Someone", adopted him. Pledging devotion, dedication, eternal love, care, comfort.
Before adopting your pet, really give this some thought. This is a LIFE that you are committing to. A heartbeat. A devoted and dedicated friend, who loves unconditionally. Are you ready to love unconditionally in return?
