Chevy's story...
My name is Chevy and I am a 1 yr. old yellow lab cross with about as sweet a nature as you could imagine. I am so gentle that I am even good with rabbits, hamsters and rats. It goes without saying that I am wonderful with other dogs, cats and kids. I love going to the dog park and chasing other dogs and letting them chase me, That and belly rubs are my two favorite things. I am very well behaved inside the home and am just about as friendly and affectionate a you would expect a lab to be. And if all of that isn't good enough, I am appropiately protective of my home, barking if a stranger comes onto the property. I am also protective of any children in my home and will watch over them on walks and at parks. I love my family with all my heart and soul.
I will need a home with another dog as I really have seperation anxiety if I am left completely alone. I have mild hip dysplaysia that requires no medical treatment and that causes me no physical limitations. My vet says I may need pain medication and glucosamine supplements in my later years to help ward off arthritis which I may get earlier than other dogs. But with exercise and keeping my weight low, I will have as normal mobility as any other dog.
I'm a strong energetic boy, and tend to pull on the leash a little too much but I'm learning to walk nice
Because as a pup I was fed food that was of a lower quality, I have acquired a very sensitive stomach and there's pretty well only 1 special food that agrees with me,
My adoption fee is $300.

About Our Rescue Group...
A Better Life Dog Rescue is a group of volunteer animal lovers who help abandoned, neglected and abused dogs find loving, responsible homes. With the help of foster homes, A Better Life Dog Rescue is able to rescue homeless, abandoned and surrendered dogs and give them a better life by adopting them into caring and compassionate homes.

At A Better Life Dog Rescue we believe every dog deserves to be treated as a cherished member of the family. Dogs are pack animals and suffer greatly by being chained, penned or otherwise excluded from their family, even for short periods of time. Being included inside the home is essential for a dog's emotional and physical health. It is just as cruel to starve a dog of their emotional needs as it is to starve them of food and shelter.
