Malva's story...
Please contact Jamie (jmcaloon@ingham.org) for more information about this pet.

Malva is a very friendly female cat. She loves to come and lay on you on the couch, or sleep in bed with you. She has times when she is energetic and runs around playing with the other kitties, and then she snoozes for the rest of the day. She seems to have her favorite kitty friends. She gets along fine with some cats, and doesn`t care too much for others. A home where she would be the only kitty would be best, but you can test her with your other cats to see how she will react. The worst thing that she would do is hiss and run away anyway, so it`s not necessarily that big an issue. She has been fixed and is completely litter trained. She gets along great with all people. She has not been around dogs, so it is not known how she would be around them. If you live alone and want some friendly companionship, Malva is the kitty for you
Update! Malva has been adopted and returned several times due to meowing issues. Malva apparently suffers from separation anxiety. When she goes into a new home, she gets nervous, and begins to meow constantly. This could occur both day and night. Unfortunately, the only cure for this is time. The meowing will stop in a week or two, as she gets used to her new home. Whoever adopts Malva will have to be very patient, and be willing to take the noise for awhile until she finally get used to her new surroundings. I have been fostering her in my home for several months, and I have had no meowing issues with her at all. She is as quiet as all of my other cats. I do believe that once she gets more comfortable in her new home, she will settle down and cease the constant “talking”.
Act quickly to adopt Malva. Pets at this shelter may be held for only a short time.

About Our Shelter...
Animals posted are currently in the Ingham County Foster Care Program or at the Shelter. As with many shelters, ICAC gets many pure bred dogs and cats, however, unless there are AKC papers with the dog, we cannot guarantee that the animal is a purebred. We do our best to identify the breed or breeds our animals are.
