Cocoa's story...

Estimated Date of Birth: April 23, 2009

Cocoa is a medium-haired calico. She is quite colorful, more so than most calicos. She was a little shy at first, but that has definitely changed. She meows at me to get my attention and will even climb in my lap when I am sitting on the floor with her. She purrs a lot and gets very excited for her crunchy treats! She is also a big fan of wet food and turkey lunch meat.

Cocoa gets along well with her sister Lima. They play well together and aren’t too hyper together. Who doesn’t need two calico girls in their household? Cocoa loves to spend time high up on the cat furniture and taps me on the head as I walk by…I think she is telling me to get her some treats! Any toy is a good toy for Cocoa. She is looking for a lot of attention and would like a home where someone wants to interact with her a lot. Is that you?

Cocoa's adoption fee is $100.  For more information about her, please visit our website at www.HobbesHouse.org

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a relatively new no-kill rescue group in Wake Forest, that takes in stray and abandoned cats / kittens, and then works to find them their forever homes. All of our animals are tested, vaccinated and have either been spayed or neutered. Although we currently have a wonderful all-volunteer staff, we always need more help (foster homes, fundraising, PR, website work, newsletters, etc). If you are interested in volunteering (even for just a few hours) or donating to help us rescue more cats and kittens, please contact us !!

Come Meet Our Pets...
We list all of our adoption events and our available kitties on our website: www.HobbesHouse.org . Our adoption events are normally held each weekend at the PetSmart at BrierCreek ( Saturday from 11 - 2 and Sunday from 12:30 - 3:30 )
If you are interested in meeting one of our kitties, please email or call us !
Our Adoption Process...
We require that you fill out an application. If you live in an apartment, we then call them to insure they allow pets. If you have owned a pet before, we contact your vet for a reference.
After these two things have been done, we then contact you to discuss your application.
Our adoption fee is $100 for non- microchipped cats and $115 for microchipped cats, which covers our basic medical costs (vaccines, Feline Leukemia / FIV testing and spay/neuter).
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Wake Forest, Youngsville, Apex, Holly Springs
