SPECIAL NEEDS? Ruptured eye and scarred eye. so Limited vision

Rose has been vetted and is currently in Kathy's home being fostered. she wil ldo a write up and let me know more about her in a few days.

Rose prounounced Ro SAY! Is the little 12.5 lbs, 10 year old lady who has a ruptured eye on the left side and has an old ulcer scar on the right side. She has bad skin and we did a scrape and I will learn more in the next few days about that. Sweet little dancing thing, this dog was someone’s pet at one time. She got right up on the back of my chair like she has done it before.

Here is what Rose' foster momma Kathy has to say about her. QUOTE: Rose' is a big dog hiding in a little dog body. This sweet girl is full of life and so much fun! She keeps her boxer foster brothers and sisters on their toes and her foster mom laughing all the time.

Rose' is full of energy when it's play time, but she knows how to cuddle like a pro as well. She wants to do whatever you're doing, whether it's playing or napping. This sweet girl has had a terrible life up to now, but has learned that people are actually nice and that being an inside dog with a nice soft pillow to lay on is a good thing. She initially came into rescue from the Montague County puppy mill cruelty seizure - just one of over 500 dogs that needed help. Her eyes were terribly infected and one had to be removed. Having one eye doesn't impede her at all. She can run, jump, play and wrestle with the best of them. She also had terrible skin from neglect and filth. Since being in foster care, she has learned to like her baths and has grown a new pretty, shiny coat.

She's done very well with housetraining via access to the doggy door and is perfectly crate trained when her foster mom has to go to work. Please consider giving Rose' a happy forever home. She deserves to be loved and spoiled for the rest of her life.

If you would like to contribute to Rose's vet bill, please feel free to use paypal for your payment or you can mail the payment to my vet with the notation 'American Boston Terrier Rescue - Rose to:

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small, dedicated group of Boston Terrier-loving volunteers based in North Texas. While we are currently awaiting our 501(c)3 status, we're busy rescuing, training, transporting, vetting, coordinating and fundraising. All for the love of our chosen breed, the Boston Terrier.

All Bostons that come into ABTR are fully vetted, heartworm checked, spayed/neutered and lived with to ensure a good fit into a new home. We never turn away a Boston in need.

ALL Bostons deserve a loving home. We accept all Bostons, regardless of age or health.
(We will not accept dogs that exhibit human aggression or are excessively dog aggressive.)

Please note that the adoption process begins with an adoption application. Incomplete apps will not be considered.

We are not a shelter and do not have visiting hours. All our Bostons are fostered in loving private homes.

All adoptions require an adoption fee.

Payment options include cash, money order, cashiers check or paypal.

ABTR is a non-profit rescue organization. All fees and donations are applied to Boston Terriers in need.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not do adoption events. We feel that exposes the dogs to too much stress. Our adopters meet our dogs after they have completed the adoption application and are approved to adopt. This saves us much time and effort that can be spent on caring for the dogs. Plus that way they meet the dogs that are CURRENTLY available for adoption and are not dissapointed because a dog they were interested in has been adopted to someone else who was approved before they were.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption application must be completed.

We check vet and personal references.

A home visit is conducted.

Then Wanda calls and speaks to you about all the dogs CURRENTLY available that are a suitable match for your family. A decision is made about who is most suitable. Then you sign the adoption agreement, pay the adoption fees, and adopt the dog.

We do transport out of state at the adopter's expense in addition to the adoption fee. Airfare is $175 plus crate and health certificate $60 plus adoption fee.

Adoption fees vary depending upon costs of vetting and age of dog. Puppies under 6 months are $400 as they are the most desired of all the dogs and they help pay the vet bills on the older dogs.

We do have a senior for senior program for persons over 70 wanting to adopt a dog over 9.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
ABTR will proudly ship a dog via airline to anywhere in the US or Canada.. at the adopter's expense in addition to the adoption fee. Airfare is $215 plus crate and health certificate $85 plus adoption fee
