Yasmine's story...
Yasmine's Meet Your Match Feline-alityTM is THE EXECUTIVE (Orange) I have to say, I'm a busy cat. First, I've got to check out what's happening out the window. Next, I'll see if any closets or cupboards need looking into. And then there are my naps - can't be late for those. I can fit a little socializing into my schedule. Shall we plan on breakfast and dinner? I hope you like kibbles. More About Yasmine: Yasmine is a very soft, beautiful tortie girl who likes head and face rubs and will knead her blanket while you're petting her to let you know she'd like the loving to keep on coming. This affectionate girl is not yet two years old and would prefer to be your only cat. She did, after all, arrive with six kittens in tow and, after birthing and raising all those babies, she's sorely in need of somebody to concentrate on her for awhile and lavish on some attention and TLC. She's a gentle, quiet, easy girl who thinks people are more interesting than toys. Yasmine is on the small side at 7+ pounds but don't be surprised to see a big girl personality emerge once she moves into your home. Torties are known to be quirky, so life with Yasmine should never be boring. Drop by today! Yasmine is waiting to meet you at the Washington Square Petsmart store. Adoption hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 or by appointment. Come meet all the wonderful adoptable cats and kittens from Cat Adoption Team! Find out who your perfect feline match is. Take our Meet Your Match survey. Click here to get started ... We offer a 20% discount on adult cat adoptions for senior adopters (62 and older). DMS/ BGj 7/15/09

About Our Shelter...
The Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest non-profit, no-kill cat shelter with its own full service on-site veterinary hospital. CAT rescues, rehabilitates and places the community’s abandoned, neglected and injured cats and kittens into loving, lifetime homes. CAT not only partners with the community but with local county shelters, rescue groups and veterinary offices to take in cats that might otherwise be euthanized due to medical problems or space constraints. CAT saves close to 3,000 lives per year and relies heavily on the support of the public and generous volunteers. Thank you for visiting our site and helping us save lives!

Our Adoption Process...
CAT adoption fees:

1 Adult Cat $85
1 Senior Cat (over 8 years) $60
1 FIV/FELV Cat $60
The adoption fee includes:
Spay/Neuter
Testing for FELV and FIV
Microchip (including registration)
FVRCP and Leukemia vaccinations
Treatment for parasites (fleas, worms)

The Cat Adoption Team requires all potential adoptive families to meet with a trained adoption counselor before adopting a cat. Families must complete an application and sign a contract, which outlines our organization's adoption guidelines. Individuals who are interested in adopting a cat or kitten are welcome to call our facility to discuss these guidelines before visiting our adoption center.

In order to give our kittens a strong, healthy start in life, and to minimize behavior problems by assuring that they are fully weaned and litter box trained, we do not adopt out any kitten until they are at least 8-10 weeks old.

Cats or kittens that test positive for leukemia or FIV can still live relatively long and healthy lives in an indoor, stress-free environment. They must, however, be adopted to homes that either have no other cats or already have asymptomatic leukemia- or FIV-positive cats. These diseases cannot be passed on to humans; they can, however, be transmitted through blood to healthy cats. Therefore, these cats must be placed in indoor-only home.
