| Reina is slim, sleek, and strong, like an Oriental Shorthair cat, all black with a tiny bit of white on her chest and fur that looks like sharp points on her ears. Her regal posture and composure fit her name, which means Queen. At the same time, she’s all heart. When she was rescued on a chilly, rainy day last spring from a gap between two houses in D.C., she was caring for six young kittens from three different litters. 4Paws doesn’t know who the other moms were or what happened to them. Reina enjoys life indoors, after spending probably all of her 2-3 years outside before she was rescued. She likes to be petted and brushed, and she uses the litter box perfectly. Reina would prefer not to live with small or noisy children. She would be happiest if she could live with her older daughter Abigail, her younger kittens Rosa or Jackie, or Corey, who is probably her grandson. She is up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and will be spayed before she goes to her new home. |
