Chloe's story...
This gal is a 1 year old red heeler with beautiful speckling and bright, alert ears and eyes. She gets along well with other dogs when they are carefully introduced and could be a great dog for someone who is familiar with this intelligent and curious breed.

Want to get more exercise? Action is Chloe’s middle name. She has tons of energy and will run for miles and play ball for hours and still want to play at the end of the day. You should see her play in the kiddie pool; she’s hilarious! This bundle of energy is also a Frisbee dog and would do well in agility training. So if you are looking for an exercise buddy and life-long friend, Chloe is your girl! Chloe hasn’t quite figured out how to scale back her enthusiasm. So if you try to sit or squat to pet her, have a ball in hand and ask for a sit before you start the petting. It won’t take long for this smart girl to figure out what you want. Chloe used to be in a home with a cat and does well with dogs that are not too dominant. She is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash and knows “sit” and “down”.

Chloe is in a foster home now - so she will be crate trained and will know how to live in a home!

About Our Rescue Group...
Our mission is to support and enhance the services provided by the Georgetown Animal Shelter and other local organizations dedicated to the welfare of animals.

We will: Raise awareness of the shelter through public education. Increase volunteer participation and fund raising activities.
Be advocates of animal welfare in the community.
Participate in shelter activities that result in the placement of companion animals in loving, responsible homes.
Campaign for free/low cost spay/neuter clinics. Work toward the day when no healthy animal is killed.

We are an organization of volunteers from all walks of life, united by one common goal… the welfare of animals. While the name implies a Georgetown service organization, GAO’s work and involvement extends into the general Williamson County community.
