Gawain wandered out of the woods, the 3-4 month old son of a local feral. He has never shown any agression or tendency to spray. He is very shy, almost timid, but he loves pats from Jon and when I am home he spends most of his time under my chair by my feet. He needs a quiet home with a calm owner that will allow him to blossom into the furry friend I know he can be.

We are a no-kill feline rescue specializing in kittens, newborn to 6 weeks. Our first rescue was 1987 and Bast's Treasures was officially started in 1992, we saw a need when we discovered that the local humane societies routinely euthanize unweaned kittens due to lack of manpower. We foster them in an uncaged, home environment until they are old enough to place. Most adoptees are 8-14 weeks old, although we do have some young adults and the occasional older adult that also need homes. PLEASE NOTE: We adopt to INDOOR ONLY homes. If you need or want an indoor/outdoor or outdoor pet, may we suggest someone with less stringent requirements. We gratefully accept any donation. We have no salaries/administrative fees. ALL donations go directly to provide food and medical care for the cats.

Our Adoption Process...
Persons (must be over 18) interested in adopting are asked to fill out an application with 2 personal references. Approved applicants are then asked to sign a binding Contract of Adoption. Terms of contract include but are not limited to: retain sole ownership, provide safe, comfortable INDOOR ONLY environment and all necessary vet care, agree NOT to declaw, and agree to relinquish the cat back to Bast's Treasures in the event they are no longer able to care for the cat. There may be periodic home visits. The standard adoption fee is currently $50.00, which helps cover the costs of initial vaccinations, dewormings, vet fees.
