Dexter is a wonderful male spaniel mix, approximately 4 years old, who loves to play and has very good house manners.  He is housebroken and crate-trained, although he does not need to be in a crate as he is well past the destructive stage. Dexter has had a tough time finding the right home.  He loves women and children, but is very leary of men.  He gets along fine with female dogs and with some male dogs, but not with others, so if he's not the only dog in the home we will need to make sure he gets along with the dogs who already live there.  Cats - well, some are OK, some he would like to chase, it depends on the cat.

Dexter needs a large fenced yard to run in for a little while every day so he can expend some of that energy.  He loves to chase tennis balls, and when he's worn out, he's ready to snuggle on the sofa and watch TV.  We are looking for a Foster Home or Adoptive Home for him.
