===========================================================
Hello, my name is Jasmine and I am approx. 3 years old and am possibly a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, or a Labrador/Shepherd mix. I love to go for long walks or even a run. My foster mom says that I am good in the house. I sleep in my crate and won't make a peep until you wake up. I don't chew anything and if I were to pick something up that does not belong to me I will give it up when you tell me to leave it. My favorite thing in the world..........is to get a nice belly rub. They make me feel so nice.
Did I mention how smart I am??? I learn things very quickly and would only get better if you want to teach a not so old dog new tricks. I'm already housebroken and crate-trained, know a bunch of commands including sit, down, roll over, give paw, wait, and I takes treats ever so gently from your fingers. My one downfall is that I am a little insecure and children make me nervous. They think that I may have been mistreated before I came here.
So, basically I need an owner that lets me know that they are in charge but is still gentle at the same time. I am currently living with another dog and we get along great! We take turns chasing squirrels and chipmunks in the backyard. I don't get along with all dogs though. I can be a little dominant so a proper introduction will be necessary with all dogs.
I am extremely healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested, micro-chipped and de-wormed. If you think you might like to make me a part of your family, please go to this website, www.acaringplacehs.org and click on the link 'Dog Application.'
----------------------------------------------------- INFO: Jasmine was recently adopted by a couple and then returned because Jasmine didn't feel comfortable with their friends and extended family within the first few days of adoption. Jasmine is a sensitive soul who will definitely need time to trust and time to feel secure; therefore, we request only serious inquiries with people truly willing to give Jasmine a real chance to connect and bond.
A Caring Place Humane Society adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and many of our cats live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with much information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. We are always in search of individuals and families to serve as fosters care providers. Please consider opening your home. If you are one of those special people willing to open your heart and home to an animal in need and would like to receive information on how you can foster an animal, please contact us.
