THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING FOR A FAMILY TRYING TO REHOME THEIR 11 YEAR OLD DOG!
Tibby (short for Tybalt) is a miniature schauzezer. I don't think he is a pure-bred schnauzer--our vet said he's probably a schnauzer and other terrier mix. Attached are several pictures of Tibby, including a shot of him with his E-collar on. He is a very sweet dog and is good with kids. He does need medicine (a steroid) twice a day, and is on a special diet (Royal Canin Duck and Potato formula) due to severe allergies that make him itchy. He has to wear an E-collar sometimes because he licks and chews on his feet when he's not with someone. He is still very playful and loves playing 'tug-of-war' with us and his stuffed toys. The reason we are having to find another home for him is that we have 2 very young children (a 3.5 year old and a 2 year old), and I am pregnant with our 3rd child and due in January. Our hands are very full and he just needs a little more attention than we can give him. We have spent a lot of money on him for vet visits, tests, and to figure out (by trial and error) what medicines would work to give him relief from his allergies, and he is about 95% better. At this point, he only needs to continue having the special diet and the steroid twice a day to keep his allergies under control. He is about 11 years old--I think he was born in Feb. 1998. He is neutered and house-trained. I can provide his full veterinary history upon request.
