Chunk is a 14 week old chocolate pit bull mix who was born completely blind.  He is currently in foster care, but was turned in as a “stray” to the shelter.  Despite some challenging beginnings, Chunk is blossoming in his new environment.  He is super smart and has almost mastered potty training!  He loves his crate and rests there peacefully throughout the night.  He would need some special love and training, but he’ll more than repay you with love and affection.  He LOVES to play!  Left alone with his favorite squeaky ball, he amuses himself!  As he cannot see, he tends to express himself vocally—usually through adorable snorts and snuffles.

As soon as he’s neutered (right around the corner), he’ll be available to the right loving home.  His adoption fee of $100 includes his neuter, his shots to date as well as his microchip.  Since he went into foster care, he has had a consultation with a veterinary ophthalmologist, who tells us that his condition irreversible.  When he is fully grown, Chunk will be a large dog, likely over 65 lbs.

Chunk would do best as the only dog, as his blindness makes it difficult for him to read other doggie language.  His favorite thing in the world is to be around his people—he loves to snuggle and cuddle and would love to become your best friend.
