Astro's story...
Please contact Anna (annaotat@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.
Meet Astro, the pit mix with a million dollar smile. Astro's foster family says he is a dream and that he is playful and fun but also calm and loving. This handsome young man is extremely social with people and other dogs. He IS too enthusiastic to be placed with any kitties. Astro is only about 8-months-old and loves to play with both his human and canine companions. When Astro's foster family walks him they report that he will never engage with barking matches or any other naughty behaviors with other dogs. Poor Astro initially found himself at a shelter where he was going to be euthanized due to his breed, but some great people there really worked to get him out and into rescue because they felt that Astro was just too friendly (and young) to have that fate. Astro is gorgeous boy with a brindle coat, inquisitive eyes, and a smiley face. Though Astro is really thiriving in his foster home, he would love to find a forever family.
As with all dogs available through One Tail at a Time, Astro is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. His adoption fee is $200. Please e-mail Anna at annaotat@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting or simply learning more about Astro.
One Tail at a Time is an all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue based in the Chicagoland area. Working with a growing community of dedicated volunteers and foster homes, as well as boarding and daycare facilities, we are able to rescue animals from potential euthanasia and help lower overpopulation in area shelters.
We focus on finding permanent homes for our dogs by working to match the lifestyles of potential adopters with each dog's personality and needs. This, combined with our commitment to providing new adopters with education and support for the life of their dog, ensures that more dogs stay in their new homes permanently, reducing the number of pets that are returned to the rescue or shelters each year. All of our dogs are adopted fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
