Bonnie and her sister buttons were dropped off at our vet's office. We are not sure what breed they are but we are guessing possibly a hound/whippet mix. They are brindle in color and are about 1 year old. We have had them living at our shelter since 12/08. Unfortunately, they have practically grown up at our shelter, as we have had them since they were small pups. These sweet babies need their forever homes! They are shy and loving and love treats! They walk well on a leash. They have grown up at our shelter and desperately need a home of their own. Bonnie loves women and other dogs and is more shy than Buttons. Buttons is very outgoing and playful. They are living at our shelter.

Bonnie is larger and lighter in color.
Buttons is smaller and darker in color.

If you can foster one or both of these pups please let us know!

They are spayed current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative and have been started on heartworm and flea preventative. They are ready for their own forever loving homes! Adoption fee is $145.00 each.

About Our Rescue Group...

Homeward Bound is a non profit, no-kill organization based in Gilmer County, Georgia which began in August 2000. We are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted companion animals, while actively seeking permanent homes through our adoption programs. We take in dogs and cats that are found as strays, owner surrenders and abandoned. We also take animals out of high kill shelters to prevent them from being euthanized. We have rescued and adopted out about 4,000 animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoptions every Saturday from 11-5 and every odd Sunday (1st, 3rd and 5th) at PetSmart, 860 Cobb Place Blvd., Kennesaw, GA 30144 (off of Barrett Parkway).

Our Adoption Process...

All dogs are spayed/neutered, current to age on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, and started on heartworm preventative and flea preventative. Adoption fee for dogs are $145.00 cash or check.

All cats are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, FELV/FIV negative and started on flea preventative. Adoption fee is $110.00 cash or check.

Application review and approval is required prior to adopting. Adopters must be at least 21 years old.

We serve the Gilmer County/Ellijay area along with the Kennesaw/Atlanta, GA area.
