Dan-Annie's story...
Dani-Annie is located in Norfolk VA and we will not fly this little girl.

Well, this is all new to me! I've spent my whole short little life in a kennel having puppies. When the milk ran out, so did my time. With the help of Pug Rescue, I found my way to AMPS.

I am a very shy, skiddish little girl who will need a stay at home parent with LOTS of patience, a fenced yard and a dog door. Absolutely no children! But, another small dog for company would be great. I am not ALPHA at all.

I can do my business outside (via a dog door) but if I get locked in...well, you know the drill. I am having a dilly of a time trying to figure out how to ask to go outside since I've spent so little time indoors with people.

I have learned three things very quickly; "couch time" - that's when we all get to watch TV with my foster parents, "let's go" - I will just follow the other dogs, and "bed" - for eating or sleeping. I am crate trained. Matter of fact, I spend most of my time running in and out of the crate with every new noise. Some things are so scary to me!

In my two short weeks in foster care, I will now try to get mom's attention and let her pet me on the couch. I'm still leary if she tries to pick me up or reach for me. Probably because I am just not used to being loved. She is so proud of my progress! I hold my head up now and prance around the yard with my tail up. I have even begun to try and play with the other dogs!

I am a challange, but, if you have the time and patience, I am going to be one great little girl who will love you forever.

About Our Rescue Group...
Our Mission is simple. To rescue Miniature Pinschers who are unwanted, abandoned, neglected, mistreated or are victims of inhumane treatment find responsible, loving and lifetime homes. To educate potential owners about the Miniature Pinscher and their special requirements, to ensure an educated decision when selecting the breed. To counsel owners on solving problems to help them keep their Miniature Pinscher. To educate animal control officers and shelter staff on how to identify the Miniature Pinscher and the special requirements and characteristics of the breed to aid in proper evaluation and placement. There are lots of ways to choose a dog - we think rehoming is the best one. All Miniature Pinscher Service works with you to match your needs to the needs of dogs. We know that choosing the dog that’s right for you leads to happy people and happy dogs.

Our Adoption Process...
AMPS, INC. is a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization recognized by the IRS, comprised exclusively of volunteers. Our group is dedicated to rescuing, fostering, transporting, and otherwise coordinating efforts to help minpins in need find their way to loving, permanent homes. Our volunteers agree to abide by the guidelines as set forth by the Directors of AMPS.

Each rescued MinPin is treated with special care. They are evaluated by a veterinarian for common health issues, are given required medical care, spayed or neutered and microchipped.

We screen every applicant very carefully to ensure that they understand the responsibilities involved in caring properly for a pet. Our responsibility is to place our dogs into homes that will best meet their needs, both physically and emotionally. We look for people with patience, loving hearts, and an understanding of a minpin's needs. A detailed application from which we conduct reference verifications and a home visit with all household members present are pre-adoption requirements. A follow up visit may be scheduled at a future date to ensure that everything is working out well for the dog as well as the family.
