Hi, my name is 'Clipper'. I'm a 9 1/2 yr old.Male/Maltese. I'll be 10 yrs old on Sept. 26th. I'm housebroken, very sweet/obedient, lovable baby. I love to take 'walks' in afternoon. I get a 'treat for going potty',afterwards. I've always slept on mom's bed, snuggled up right next to her, on the pillow. Then I give her 'kisses' when we wake up, so she knows that I need to go outside & to be fed. In Sept.of last year(2008) I became 'diabetic' I'm on insulin (4cc's) twice a day. (U-40 insulin/U-40 needles) I developed cataracts, in both eyes, soon after. I'm on prescription dog food, as well.(WD) I'm holding my own at the moment. My 'Mom' is going thro' a very rough time as she lost her job in Jan.'09. She's going to have to move in w/her sister(who is sickly & can't have any animals in her home.) So, my mom is going to have to 'surrender me' to another loving caring home to take care of me in my latter days. This breaks her heart & mine, but sometimes it takes more love to allow someone else to love/care for me. We've been together a long time, since I was born. But I know we'll forever remember the love/happiness/joy that both of us brought to our lives. (Only she & I know all of our 'secrets/bond' that we share.) So---------this is extremely hard, but it must be done, since the alternatives would be that other people think I need to be 'put down'. My mom & I think differently on that, so this is the reason that I have to go to another place. We'll never say 'goodbye' to each other, only remember all the special years that we shared. *****This boy is a Diabetic and needs shots 2 times a day******** GREAT NEWS, CLIPPER HAS GONE TO SOUTHERN COMFORT MALTESE RESCUE.

I am an animal lover and have been rescuing dogs for sometime now. I specialize in Chihuahuas. I will take owner surrenders or Chi's from shelters as well as Chi's from breeders and re-home these dogs. I do it for the love of the breed. Too many people dispose of animals and it is nothing they have done wrong--just the people that own them.
