Bullseye is a no-kitties kinda guy - other than that he is non-aggressive with dogs, and loves people, he is very submissive and sweet with all people! Please consider giving this terrific moose of a dog a second chance! Full description below!
Poor Bullseye...his owner has passed away but that wasn't the worst of it. He was there with his owner for 4 days, and he tried in vain to protect her when law enforcement arrived to remove her body. Faithful to the end, he stayed with her until animal control came and removed him. Despite this unthinkable, sad event, Bullseye is doing well, except he's extremely overweight at 113lbs. He should weigh only around 50lbs., so he's going on a crash diet at his foster home and he'll be available for adoption any time. He was said to have a bit of Mastiff in him (in 2001 when he was first seen by the vet, all the records we could find) but we are not sure on this. He IS a large dog but quite overweight and it's hard to tell what his original body style was. He has a NUBBY TAIL, if that says anything! He is neutered. $100 adoption donation requested for Bullseye to offset his vet expenses such as rabies vaccine and microchip. Please read the below information to learn our adoption requirements and procedures. Update from his foster mom:
Bullseye is a total crack-up! He is so goofy and lovable, you can't help but laugh with him! He has taken over Mav's doghouse and all you can usually see of him when he's napping in there is that silly nubby of his sticking out! He has been inside with us, and no accidents - he's just a lot of dog to have in the house! :) I have him eating just 1 c. of food twice a day (2 c/day total) and he has been learning to play. Hoping he'll start dropping weight, as he seems a tiny bit stiff in the hips when he gets up to his feet first thing in the morning.
**All our foster dogs and puppies have been vaccinated with Galaxy DA2PPv at least ONE TIME. When appropriate and available, they get a rabies vaccination, and they have been dewormed at least once. They come with a health record that reflects this at the time of adoption. They are also Microchipped and come with a free month of health insurance.** If interested in adopting this pet please email us and request an application to complete and return via email. This does not obligate you in any way but it does allow us to gather the necessary information to determine if this dog is a good match for your family. No meet and greets take place without a completed/approved application. Important note: beginning in June of 2007, homes with children under 7 years of age will be required to enroll any puppies or adult dogs (at our discretion) adopted from us in puppy kindergarten and/or basic obedience classes. **We DO allow out of state adoptions, but we DO NOT ship our pets, all adopters are required to pick up their new family member HERE, within a week of your application being completed and being approved to adopt.** Please remember to visit your local city or county shelter, your dream dog could be there, waiting for his/her second chance! |
