Heaven [WV]'s Info...

| Size: | Small | Sex: | Female |
I am good with birds.
Heaven is a Quaker Parrot, also known as a Monk Parakeet. Heaven's head was plucked by another bird and we won't know for a while if her feathers will grow back. Heaven can be shy at first and she takes a little time to adjust to a new place and new people, but, she steps up and is quite friendly once you build a trusting relationship with her. She is a very good eater! Heaven likes healthy foods such as fresh vegetables and fruit; she absolutely LOVES freshly-grown sprouts, and we'd be happy to teach you the simple process for growing them at home! Heaven really enjoys being around other birds (who don't pick her feathers, of course) and would be a great addition to her new family!
For information about Phoenix Landing's adoption process, please email inquiry@phoenixlanding.org. Email is the best and fastest way to communicate with Phoenix Landing.
Phoenix Landing's primary areas of operation include: Maryland (MD), Washington (DC), Virginia (VA), North Carolina (NC), the eastern panhandle of West Virginia (WV), Greenville (SC), and Knoxville (TN). Our Education Program is a FUN and required part of Phoenix Landing's adoption process. For this reason, adoptions are limited to our locations in MD, DC, VA, NC, SC, and TN, and close surrounding areas (including bordering locations in PA, DE, WV). If you live beyond our adoption areas, we encourage you to locate a non-profit adoption organization in your area or email us for assistance finding one. Many parrots need our help!
If you are considering adoption through PL, please check out www.phoenixlanding.org for more information and to download a copy of our Adoption Application in DOC or PDF format. All potential adopters/fosters must attend our Educational Seminars, have a brief in-Home Visit and pay an Adoption Fee.
For more information about Phoenix Landing Education Events, please visit our web site, at: http://www.phoenixlanding.org/events.html
Thank you for considering adoption!

The Phoenix Landing Foundation (PL) is a non-profit all-volunteer organization. PL promotes and protects the welfare of parrots, especially those with an extensive lifespan. We provide for parrots of all types in need, and act as advocates for those without protection. Visit our website at http://www.phoenixlanding.org for more information. We also sponsor great educational seminars! All are welcome (please do not bring your birds or other pets). Most of PL's classes are free, although of course we always welcome donations.
