DSH White Female, mixed eye color
Lucy is a gorgeous solid white girl with one blue eye and one green eye. Her owner lost her home earlier this year and had to give up her animals. Everyone has been placed in new homes except for Lucy. She was really a bit shell-shocked from the recent stress in her life and needed some time to recover and learn to relax again. Foreclosure isn't just hard on the people - the animals struggle with this situation too! Lucy is eight years young and in excellent health. She is very playful, and loves to "hunt" her favorite toys, then bring them to you as a great prize for you to admire! She has incredibly soft, silky fur and a big rumbling purr when she is happy. She will meet you at the door when you return from being away for a few hours, usually with a cat story to tell you. Her house manners are perfect - really quite a lady! No litter box issues ever, does not scratch, though we do sometimes still have to be reminded about dining room tables. Lucy really is the perfect companion cat. She wants to be in the same room with you and will follow you around the house, but she isn't super needy and will not pester you constantly. She doesn't really care to be picked up, but is polite enough to let you do it without a fuss. Laps are okay once in a while, but she would prefer to sit next to you - I think that gives her a better view to see what you are doing so she can give you her advice! She loves to sleep with you - or in a cat bed near your bed if you are too restless (as I have been told on a few occasions!). And especially, she loves to be petted and scratched around her ears and neck. She will sit for petting all day. Lucy is a very quiet soul and will not do well in a house with a lot of activity or high volume level. No children. She would be happiest as an only cat, but a male cat "boyfriend" (if he is not very aggressive) should also be acceptable. She does not like sharing her space with another female. A well mannered dog companion may be okay, but this is really unknown. Lucy will need a little time to adjust to a new space and to warm up to a new person, but you will be incredibly rewarded with boundless love in return for a small amount of patience. Please contact Lisa Baker at Lnbaker@insightbb.com or 859 814 7191 if you would like to meet Lucy. I do travel quite a bit for my job, so it sometimes may take me a few days to respond, however I will answer all messages as quickly as I can. |
