My name is Sam....I was just a little tyke when I was dropped off at the Vet's and told they didn't want me. The Doc called Allan and he said he would take me knowing full well that bottle feeding a 4 wk old puppy was more than he could handle...so he asked his 87 year old Mom to help. Mary to the rescue....she took great care of me and got up in the middle of the night to feed me and hold and burp me. I grew and when I only needed to be fed a couple times/day, Allan and Karen put me in a pen in their living room to keep a cloe eye on me. They held me and rocked me and made me feel so safe and loved. They even gave me a little girlfriend named susie so I wouldn't be lonely. Now I am at the rescue , about 4 mos. old. Susie got adopted so even though I have playmates, it makes me sad that I don't have my own family. Allan and Karen still love me and i perk up everytime I see them, but I am waiting faithfully for a family of my own. I am seet as sugar....get along well with others, and would be a best friend to you or your child. Will you come see me, and let me win your heart? Love, Sam
We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We now are able to help the community with stray animals, promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 109 animals from our location, and transferried over 300 for off site adoption through the SPCA of Texas.
We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email for directions.
Our Adoption Process...
We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically , will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. 'Our fee is $95 for any animal . He/ She would already be spayed and/or neutered and current on shots.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are located approx. 60 miles east of Dallas and have adoptive families drive from Dallas and beyond to meet our wonderful animals. We are an outdoor shelter on 22 acres and are a happy place where pets wait for their forever family. .
