I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Lady is a gorgeous gal who was found as a stray. She is estimated to be about 6 years old, and she is a big girl (about 34 pounds). She is a happy and social girl who loves the people she knows. She is fearful when she first meets new people, though, so she is not an "instant dog." Lady will thrive in a home where she is given the time and space to meet people at her own pace. She knows the commands "sit", "down", "paw", "come", and she waits patiently to be told she can eat her food. She gets along well the other cockers in her foster home, but she does not meet other dogs well. She enjoys all types of toys. She has learned to peacefully co-exist with the cat in her "vacation foster" home. She is housebroken and crate trained. She learned to use the doggie door in her foster home very quickly to run outside to play and chase squirrels, but she likes to walk to "potty". She really LOVES to play in the snow. She rides beautifully in a car. She does pull a bit when being walked on a leash. Lady is a healthy and happy girl. This girl is an absolute doll and will fit beautifully in an experienced dog family who can handle her rambunctious side. Lady is eager to find her forever home, and she would love to meet any interested parties!

Rescue Group Info...
Our mission is to provide rescue, rehabilitation, counseling, transitional placement and supporting services for Spaniels & mixed breed dogs, while promoting a positive and professional rescue image through employing best practices used by successful businesses.
We offer a variety of services to meet the needs of an existing or potential dog owner. Our goal is to keep dogs from ending up in shelters. We provide temporary and long term fostering for people facing difficult situations that will allow them to keep their pets (military deployments, domestic abuse, owner illness, loss of home to foreclosure/fire/other disaster). We raise funds for the rescue by providing boarding services in our foster homes for dogs whose owners do not want them to be kenneled.
We also provide traditional rescue services for spaniels and spaniel mixes.
Please check back for information on upcoming events.
Once a potential adopter meets and identifies a dog he would like to adopt, he must complete an adoption applicaiton. If the application is approved, a home check is performed to ensure the home/family and dog are compatible. If the adoption is approved, the adopter completes an adoption contract and pays a $300 adoption fee. Once the dog is placed in the home, the adopter must take the dog to his own vet within 1 week. At the conclusion of a 2 week trial period, the adoption is marked "final."
