09-04-09 Italian Grey hound mix, about 8 years old. Jason was a stray sitting in a kill shelter. His time up, bad skin, few teeth, his chances were slim to find a fur-ever home. He appears to be an Italian Greyhound with chihuahua in the mix. His personality is fantastic! This is one VERY sweet little boy. What a great little dog for some lucky person. Read on!!! Pics being posted with additional pics upon request to show his really long legs, thin body needing a few good meals. A skin scraping done to make sure no contagions. The scraping was negative. He was treated with Capstar, put on Rx for bacterial infection of his skin, will receive medicated baths, needs good food. He was vaccinated with Rabies & Bordatella, has a good heart, underbite, cataracts, right eye worse than his left eye. His ears are clean! He has a skin tag on his right eye which may be removed at a later date when a dental is done. The vet puts his age at 7 - 9 years of age based on the physical exam. He weighs 9.6 lbs. Jason walks on a leash, dances for treats, rides in the vehicle by getting up on the back window ledge, was lying on foster mom Andrea's clean laundry. He appears to have been treated kindly, loved dearly, no clue what happened to his owner. He has been wormed & put on preventatives. He appears to have house manners yet we need to observe a few days to verify. This fur-kid is in our Senior Fur-ever & Always Program. Our program is patterned after Love A Golden's Senior Life Program. If you adopt this fur-kid, your original adoption donation is perpetual. You may adopt another appropriate senior (10 years & older) fur-kid from us after this fur-kid passes to the Rainbow Bridge, becoming an Angel Dog. 09-05 Jason is a wonderful feller! He slept quietly all night long. Out first thing in the morning he has lovely house manners. Jason hops upon an empty lap, can jump over a 24" ex-pen. He is getting along swell with the rest of the pack. 09-07 Jason is coming along nicely. He gets mini meals, fish oil, his Rx, licks his bowl clean! He is so well behaved, hardly know he is around. He will put himself in an open crate on a soft pillow or find a Kuranda bed, soft pillow, hop up & doze off. Once up from his nap he heads to the door, goes out, does his duty, back inside for a snack. Jason will be PAWfect for a family that appreciates the lovely traits of a senior pet. -------------------------------- The adoption fee ranges from $175 to $325.
