| All members of the adopter's household should be present at the adoption. For all adopters who rent their home, we must see a copy of the adopter's lease or rental agreement showing that pets are allowed. Current adoption fees: $125 for adults (cats over 1 year old) and kittens.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered. We currently accept only check or cash, although we hope to be able to accept credit cards in the future. Potential adopters are required to fill out an application and to be interviewed by an AWLMC adoption counselor. We can request home visits or vet checks prior to approving anyone for adoption. Upon approval, the adopter must sign an adoption contract. Adopters must have proof of ID (a driver's license or other government issued identification). We will follow up on our adoptions which can include e-mails, phone calls, home visits, and vet checks. These rules are subject to change.
