Abby's story...
I am Abby, I was rescued from the road along with my sister and brother, mom and friend. We were dumped off to make it on our own and got very hungry until a kind lady stopped and picked us up and took us home and gave us food, water and a shelter. I am a Boxer mix but have a long nose as you can see in my close-up. Spud and I sing sometimes for our foster mom as you can see. I am up to date on shots, wormed, frontlined and will be spayed before adoption, I love to play, love people, for more information please call my foster mom Sharon at 865-582-1760 and leave a message she will call you back ASAP. 7/2009

About Our Rescue Group...
The Grainger County Humane Society receives NO funding from our local government or other outside sources. The Humane Society exists on donations from private individuals, businesses and our volunteers' efforts. We DO NOT have an Animal Shelter or an Animal Control Officer. ALL work is done by our wonderful volunteers. Our long term goal and dream is to have a Shelter and an Animal Control Officer. We desperatly need Foster Homes, please help us out if you can.

Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fees are $100.00 for Dogs or Cats. Senior Citizens (65 or older)get a special rate of $75.00.

We also have a special foster and adoption process for our Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes to ensure they go to good loving homes. They all must be micro-chipped at the time of adoption. For further information on Pit Bull Rescue you may call 865 767-3738 or email timssquaw@hotmail.com.
