Chapps's story...

Chapps is a young male American Bull Dog / Pit Bull Mix looking for a home. He would make a great dog for a family or single person. Chapps is a playful clown and maybe too playful for small children or small pets but he would never intentialy hurt a fly. Chapps would love someone who could give him daily playtime or walks. Chapps is neutered, microchipped, wormed and up to date on shots. Due to his breed, any potential adopters must fill out a Pit Bull Adoption Application. This can be acquired by emailing timssquaw@hotmail.com. All applicants must have proof of home ownership and have a fenced in yard or chain link kennel. About Our Rescue Group...

The Grainger County Humane Society receives NO funding from our local government or other outside sources. The Humane Society exists on donations from private individuals, businesses and our volunteers' efforts. We DO NOT have an Animal Shelter or an Animal Control Officer. ALL work is done by our wonderful volunteers. Our long term goal and dream is to have a Shelter and an Animal Control Officer. We desperatly need Foster Homes, please help us out if you can.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees are $100.00 for Dogs or Cats. Senior Citizens (65 or older)get a special rate of $75.00.

Our contract can be seen on our website: www.graingercountyhumanesociety.org.

We also have a special foster and adoption process for our Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes to ensure they go to good loving homes. They all must be micro-chipped at the time of adoption. For further information on Pit Bull Rescue you may call 865 767-3738 or email timssquaw@hotmail.com.
