Rathborne's story...
Rathborne is a big, young male Shepherd mix looking for someone with a big yard for him to romp in. Rathborne is a gentle giant but maybe too big for small children as Rathborne just does not know he weighs in at about 75-80 pounds. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and does not like to wander. He would love a farm to guard or would be just as happy guarding your house. About Our Rescue Group...
The Grainger County Humane Society receives NO funding from our local government or other outside sources. The Humane Society exists on donations from private individuals, businesses and our volunteers' efforts. We DO NOT have an Animal Shelter or an Animal Control Officer. ALL work is done by our wonderful volunteers. Our long term goal and dream is to have a Shelter and an Animal Control Officer. We desperatly need Foster Homes, please help us out if you can.

Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fees are $100.00 for Dogs or Cats. Senior Citizens (65 or older)get a special rate of $75.00.

We also have a special foster and adoption process for our Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes to ensure they go to good loving homes. They all must be micro-chipped at the time of adoption. For further information on Pit Bull Rescue you may call 865 767-3738 or email timssquaw@hotmail.com.
