Spud's story...

My name is Spud, Short for Spuds Mc Kensey, I have some Boston Terrier in me. I was rescued from the road that someone dumped me and my siblings off on. We were so scared and hungry. I am a very friendly guy, love to play. We’re not sure what other breed I am but I have very large feet and my legs are kind of short. I love people and would love to have a forever home with a caring person. I am up to date with shots, wormed, frontlined and will be neutered before adoption. About Our Rescue Group...

The Grainger County Humane Society receives NO funding from our local government or other outside sources. The Humane Society exists on donations from private individuals, businesses and our volunteers' efforts. We DO NOT have an Animal Shelter or an Animal Control Officer. ALL work is done by our wonderful volunteers. Our long term goal and dream is to have a Shelter and an Animal Control Officer. We desperatly need Foster Homes, please help us out if you can.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees are $100.00 for Dogs or Cats. Senior Citizens (65 or older)get a special rate of $75.00.

Our contract can be seen on our website: www.graingercountyhumanesociety.org.

We also have a special foster and adoption process for our Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes to ensure they go to good loving homes. They all must be micro-chipped at the time of adoption. For further information on Pit Bull Rescue you may call 865 767-3738 or email timssquaw@hotmail.com.
