Zoey's story...

My name is Zoey. My original person rescued me when I was only 4 weeks old and weighed just 3 lbs. I lived with my 1st family for almost a year, but I was constantly picked on by my furry sibling. My 1st mom decided I would have a happier life if I had a new family, so I am available for adoption. I get along great with my little female kennel-mate, and am having a pretty good time at my new foster home, playing in the yard, but I sure would love to be with a new forever family so I can be a pampered inside dog again. I am spayed, UTD on all my vaccinations, frontlined, on heartworm prevention, and I am even Microchipped ! Won't you please consider taking me in and giving me the forever home I so long for ? About Our Rescue Group...

The Grainger County Humane Society receives NO funding from our local government or other outside sources. The Humane Society exists on donations from private individuals, businesses and our volunteers' efforts. We DO NOT have an Animal Shelter or an Animal Control Officer. ALL work is done by our wonderful volunteers. Our long term goal and dream is to have a Shelter and an Animal Control Officer. We desperatly need Foster Homes, please help us out if you can.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees are $100.00 for Dogs or Cats. Senior Citizens (65 or older)get a special rate of $75.00.

Our contract can be seen on our website: www.graingercountyhumanesociety.org.

We also have a special foster and adoption process for our Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes to ensure they go to good loving homes. They all must be micro-chipped at the time of adoption. For further information on Pit Bull Rescue you may call 865 767-3738 or email timssquaw@hotmail.com.
