Name/Nicknames: Zoey, Zoza, Zo

How did I get to ARLP: ARLP found me at St. Paul animal control, They aren’t sure what my story is. I really love the ARLP ladies who found me.

Hobbies: I love to play with my stuffy, kong wubba, and my ball I love to play fetch. When my foster mom gives me a bone I usually will not chew it I will try to hide it. (My foster mom says that I am not very good at hiding bones.) I am a cuddle bug, so I am on your lap when I get the chance. I really like to tease and play with my foster sister, but sometimes she doesn’t like to play with me, that’s ok because I will find my stuffy and whip it around.

Tricks/Commands: I know a few commands; I will sit and look right up at you because I know my foster mom loves when I pay attention to her. I love come, I will come running up to you like a Mac truck that is my favorite command. Other tricks I know, down, wait, leave it, kennel up and shhhh. Since I have to have an opinion of everything my foster mom is teaching me shhh. Oh I almost forgot I am VERY good at catching my treats.

Crate Trained: Yes, I will express my concerns for being in the kennel but when it’s time to go to bed I will be quiet when all the lights are out. I am also in the kennel when my foster mom has to go to work.

Potty Trained: Yes, I have had a couple of accidents in the house, but it was my foster moms fault, she didn’t get me out in time. I am trying to learn how to jingle a bell hanging from the door when I have to go potty.

Size in pounds: 50lbs of sweet pit bull love.

Activity Level: Moderate to High. My foster mom says that sometimes I have ADHD, I don’t know what that means but I am always having to do something, whether it’s playing with my foster sister, playing with my toys, or just running around the house. My foster mom takes me for long walks to burn off some of the energy. I love to run in the backyard, I will find a good ball to play catch; I just love to entertain myself its fun. When it’s time to settle down I love to just lie on the couch and watch the squirrels out the window.

Fun things I do: My most favorite thing to do is to lie on my foster mom’s lap, and she scratches my chest and belly, I really enjoy that. I also like just being around my foster mom, I will follow her everywhere she goes, I just need to see what she is doing. I like to help around the house, I will pick up after you when you are doing wood projects, I love wood, and so I will be sneaky and find a piece and hide it. My foster mom catches me all the time; I must not be good at hiding things. I also like to take all of my stuffy’s out of the basket, and put them all around the house, then my foster mom will pick them all up. I have to take them all out of the basket again, it’s a fun game.

Socialization/who I currently live with: I live with my foster mom and my foster sister an American Bulldog. Sometimes my foster grandpa and grandma come and bring their puppy; we are best friends I love to play with Gracie. My foster mom says that I need a lot of time to adjust to new environments because I get very scared, but after a while I get use to it. I also need a good amount of time when I meet another dog; I'm the kinda girl who likes to take things slow...I have discriminating tastes in other dogs.

About Our Rescue Group...
A Rotta Love Plus is dedicated to the Rottweiler, APBT, AmStaff, and other non-traditional breeds. We are the oldest Rottweiler rescue in the state of Minnesota and the first non-profit Rottweiler Rescue in the state. (A Rotta Love and PitsPlus have merged as one!)

Rescue - We are here to rescue the unwanted and neglected Rottweilers and other non-traditional breeds that are surrendered to local animal shelters.
Re-Home - With the help of foster homes we evaluate and prepare the dogs to be re-homed with a loving family.
Educate - For those willing, we are here to educate on responsible ownership of these great breeds and what owning a dog (or dogs) is all about.

The Rottweiler, APBT, and many others have fallen victim to bad press and prejudice. A Rotta Love is THEIR VOICE. We are here to defend and protect these wonderful breeds.

Our Adoption Process...
Every dog adopted from A Rotta Love Plus goes to its new home spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. We also provide a collar, leash and their favorite toy. We request a $300 donation for each dog to help us cover these costs and to assist us in rehoming other dogs.

If you are interested in one of the dogs you see here the first step is to fill out our online application which is available on our website or to give us a call.

If you don't see a dog here that fits your particular needs please give us a call anyway. We frequently have dogs on a waiting list or in other shelters. Let's us know what you are looking for and we can usually help you find the perfect dog for your situation. If you are looking to work with people that KNOW these breeds you've come to the right place. We've trained and competed with the Rottweiler for many years and placed over 300 dogs since 1997.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are based out of the Twin Cities but adopt to the entire state of MN.

No out of state adoptions.
